Ready to Hang
The painting is another one I created with a bold concise color palette. It is a young, playful and carefree piece to me however still has great strength. There are beautiful textures; as I always have to feel in my pieces which involve layers upon layers of paint. The sides are painted in the darkest purple of the palette and you can hang as is although I say with each of my paintings they would look also amazing box framed. Its ultimately up to the viewer and what they enjoy having in their space.
Elizabeth Conley has been painting for many years now and her bold colorful art can be seen hanging in homes and offices all over the world. Originally from Australia and now based in Los Angeles, Elizabeth aims to create art which decorates a space and most importantly gives the viewer a memorable experience. Each painting shares her life expressed on to the canvas with emotion and passion through layers and layers of texture. Elizabeth has found that painting can be an arduous yet worthwhile mental process and is inspired by simply seeing a certain color combination and with urgency begins a new piece. From there the paint is moved around the open canvas and evolves as she is lost in that space and is never more elated than stepping back and knowing that magic has occurred and the piece is ready to share. Art is what Elizabeth needs so as to breathe and painting weaves its way in to her every living moment. Selected Exhibitions: Gus Harper Studios Venice, USA, 2011 The Prince Melbourne, Australia, 2005
