Ready to Hang
The colors in this painting just seemed to say Paris to me; it is not always easy to explain specifically why a title for a piece comes to be but it completely encapsulated the feeling and along with this name it certainly has a life of its own. The textures are deep and there are so many layers of colors that you can literally escape in to the canvas and never really figure out which layer comes first. I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I do. The sides are painted black. It would look amazing in a shadow box frame if you should choose to do that otherwise it is ready to hang and looks great as is.
Here is a little about me; Elizabeth has been painting for many years now and her bold colorful art can be seen hanging in homes and offices all over the world. Originally from Australia and now based in Los Angeles, Elizabeth aims to create art which decorates a space and most importantly gives the viewer a memorable experience. Each painting shares her life expressed on to the canvas with emotion and passion through layers and layers of texture. Elizabeth has found that painting can be an arduous yet worthwhile mental process and is inspired by simply seeing a certain color combination and with urgency begins a new piece. From there the paint is moved around the open canvas and evolves as she is lost in that space and is never more elated than stepping back and knowing that magic has occurred and the piece is ready to share. Art is what Elizabeth needs so as to breathe and painting weaves its way in to her every living moment. Selected Exhibitions: Gus Harper Studios Venice, USA, 2011 The Prince Melbourne, Australia, 2005
