Ready to Hang
On first view this painting could appear to some as appearing a little soft and feminine but it is actually quite dramatic and bold. The title of Deserted just came to me because there is a lot of empty space and a sense of desertion in some way. There are various layers of paint creating a depth and intrigue along with subtle however strong textures. You can hang as is because the sides are fresh and cleanly painted white or alternatively have a box frame created.
Elizabeth Conley has been painting for many years now and her bold colorful art can be seen hanging in homes and offices all over the world. Originally from Australia and now based in Los Angeles, Elizabeth aims to create art which decorates a space and most importantly gives the viewer a memorable experience. Each painting shares her life expressed on to the canvas with emotion and passion through layers and layers of texture. Elizabeth has found that painting can be an arduous yet worthwhile mental process and is inspired by simply seeing a certain color combination and with urgency begins a new piece. From there the paint is moved around the open canvas and evolves as she is lost in that space and is never more elated than stepping back and knowing that magic has occurred and the piece is ready to share. Art is what Elizabeth needs so as to breathe and painting weaves its way in to her every living moment. Selected Exhibitions: Gus Harper Studios Venice, USA, 2011 The Prince Melbourne, Australia, 2005
