I absolutely love Darwin, i have read everything i can find by and about him, Steven Jay Gould is another major influence in my art. This piece was inspired after reading one of Gould's essays on Darwin. Other inspirations for my work come from early folklore, semiotics and social and environmental issues. I combine modern symbology and folk lore to make a statement or tell a story. I enjoy dichotomy and combinations if desperate ideas and opinions.
