I chose the title for this piece because it is the fifth in a series of abstracts in the works. I created this piece in Tahoe, in a relaxing time away from the city. My inspiration in creating this piece was the colors of the sky and forest. I am so drawn to abstracts because each viewer can have their own interpretation of the piece. This is a mixed media piece, soft pastel, oil pastel, and ink of recycled bristol. Standard size, easy to frame.
An ecological consciousness lies close to the heart of California native Dyanna’s art, which incorporates reused material and found objects. While studying sculpture at UC Santa Cruz, her interest in found medium grew. Dyanna currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
