I chose the title for this piece because it is second in a series of abstracts currently in the works. I created this piece early July, in Tahoe, on a relaxing time away from the city. My inspiration in creating this piece was the colors of the forest and memories of the day. I am so drawn to abstracts because each viewer can have their own interpretation of the piece. This is a mixed media piece, soft pastel, oil pastel, and ink of recycled bristol. Standard size so it's easy to find a frame. I suggest getting a spacer for between the glass and piece, because there is a little texture with this piece.
An ecological consciousness lies close to the heart of California native Dyanna’s art, which incorporates reused material and found objects. While studying sculpture at UC Santa Cruz, her interest in found medium grew. Dyanna currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
