I chose the title for this piece because it reminds me of hieroglyphics but these lines have a modernness about them.
I created this piece this year. It's number four in a series of four.
My inspiration in creating this piece- I enjoy line drawings of body parts with abstract painting. I think they flow well together. For this series, I focused on the lines and a solid color so nothing would distract from the lines. They are bright, fluorescent, and eye catching. Acrylic on paper framed in an unfinished wood frame with glass.
An ecological consciousness lies close to the heart of California native Dyanna’s art, which incorporates reused material and found objects. While studying sculpture at UC Santa Cruz, her interest in found medium grew. Dyanna currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA.
