Ready to Hang
16" x 20" abstract painting by Doron Noyman called "Serenity In Blue #4" about refuge. It is about escaping to a quiet place and to take a breath and relax one's guard. We can all use it, whether for a week, an afternoon or a moment in time. Inspired by a 1953 Milton Avery print, this abstract painting is a study in minimalism. All but the essentials drop away. The dark, matte black of the background and crow conveys a sense of depth and mystery and contrasts with the softness and variation of sky and sea. Edges of painting are painted matte black. -Thanks for looking!
