The reason I chose the title for this piece is the water comes into the cove and hits the rocks breaking the waves...hence breakers
I created this piece when i was attempting to understand the ideas of painting water.
My inspiration in creating this piece (insert story of inspiration)
This piece was one of my early attempts at creating water. I was playing with several different techniques while painting this piece and it created an interesting effect. Water was a big challenge for me at first but the more I played with it the more I enjoyed painting it.
Growing up I learned to appreciate art at an early age. I first learned how to draw and understand lines, shadowing and blending. Then progressed to painting with oils. Learning from artists like Beaupre, Ginzburg, and Christenson. I have a background of martial arts, Buddhism, a love for the East, wildlife and Jazz music. So all of this naturally reflects in a lot of my work. My work takes you on a journey in search of your inner self. Now retired from Law Enforcement, I have decided to dedicate my time to my passion for painting. And sharing that passion with you. I live in upstate New York with my wife Kate and our three sons.
