This is by far my favorite painting that I've painted this year. This scene really speaks to me because it combines the sea and sky and a beautiful sunset. It's just one of those paintings that gives you a feeling of calm and relaxation. It could also depict an analogy of life.

I am in fascination at the light and variety and beauty in the world surrounding us. I really enjoy a variety of subjects because beauty is everywhere around us and the artist is the one who pinpoints that moment and captures it for all time in an expressive and personal way. I hope that you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it.

Hello! My name is Diane Mowery. I am a Vango artist and I hope that you enjoy my work. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my gallery. You will see that I enjoy a variety of styles and media. I don't limit myself or cut off any avenue of expression. I enjoy being able to express myself and capture something special in each piece that I create. I didn't always allow myself this freedom. Although I was very creative throughout my school years and even majored in Commercial Art in college at Texas State, I didn't allow myself to pursue an art career. It wasn't until much later in my life that I stumbled back into my art and took a much more serious and realistic look at my art and my vision. Nonetheless, I have been at it fast and furiously ever since and don't intend to let it happen again. I've learned a great deal and met some amazing and talented artists in a short time . I feel like I've finally settled into my passion but that I'm still new enough to it since I've been back that I'm still exploring what specifically and truly my art means to me personally.
