This abstract painting gives one the sense of a mountain range on a drenched in a foggy mist. I named it Warusawa after a mountain located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, that is part of the Akaishi Mountains, which are known as the "Southern Alps". It is located in the Minami Alps National Park

My mission as an artist is to inspire others to follow their own dreams, no matter their age or present circumstances. My goal is to create art that touches people's hearts and excites their senses and trigger emotions. My painting style is very intuitive. I start each piece of art with a general idea of what I want the painting to look like, but as the painting progresses and speaks to me, it often evolves into something else. My hope is that my artwork will make a personal and beautiful statement in your home.

Creating has always been a motivating force in my life from childhood. My art form has changed over the years, it wasn't until late into adulthood, I settled in on painting and made it my exclusive focus. One of hardest part of painting for me is that sometimes I know I must cover a part of the painting that I have fallen in love with to benefit the overall composition of the painting. Some paintings just "fall into place" and others I may struggle with for weeks or months, or sometimes I have to put them aside and come back to them at a later date with fresh eyes. But that's one of the things I love about painting, problem solving, because when you figure out the solution and make it work, it makes your soul sing. I just love it. My other great passions in life are my husband, son and two cats. My son, who is now 21 and has special needs, is my greatest pride and joy. He makes me a better person. I was unable to spend time creating for many years due the high demand of caring for him those early years. Those years were difficult, demanding and exhausting, sometimes it still is; but he has taught me valuable life lessons that I otherwise would never have learned. Just a few of those are to not take ANYTHING for granted, appreciate the little things, and to slow down and live in the moment. I think, no, I know, that has helped me develop as an artist as well, so for that I am grateful. My moments of bliss are when I'm painting in my studio with him laughing with joy as he is petting our cats. My little heaven. Oh, and coffeee, yes, I'm drinking a cup of coffee!!! :) Thank you for taking the time to view my art.
