A memorial weekend trip to West Virginia netted several charming paintings. The axe and stack of wood begged to be painted. While this might represent hard work to some, to me it represents the enjoyment we get from the campfire at our little getaway spot.

I love the outdoors and am fascinated by the natural world. There is beauty and mystery in every tiny leaf and grand vista. To reflect even a small fraction of that in my work is a joyful thing.
