Realism- My drawings are focused on a refined process of depicting a feeling of solitude, mystique, question, and narrative resonance in a vividly conceptual manner. The process drives the realm of the aesthetic.
Conceptual abstraction- This is a form of pure expression which is purged to paper and refined to personal aesthetic. There are no predetermined concepts. They are all done on the spot.
I am a visual artist who works primarily in charcoal and graphite for realism, and ink/graphite for conceptually surreal abstraction. The mastery of these styles was a result of 30 years of sketching and drawing with a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in Drawing. I now take commissions for work and use my own concepts daily.
