Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going? The questions of life seem to keep coming. Once upon a time life seemed so simple? When did it become so complex. Like a tapestry that starts with a few threads that become interwoven together little by little until the pattern of our lives begins to emerge. So many little things that create the structure of our lives and contribute to the beautiful pattern that is our life. Once our lives were so simple, when did it become complex? Once carefree and innocent, when did it end? Where along the way did we cross that line and when did the "End of the Innocence" begin?
In this painting, there is a dynamic movement of the shapes and colors that cooperate in creating complexity in an interdependent composition. Mesmerizing and magnetic, the eyes become captivated and drawn into the design as it throbs with depth. This painting will keep your eyes moving as you investigate each brush stroke!
This painting is a 16"x20"x 7/8" acrylic painting on stretched gallery wrap canvas which I have titled, "End of the Innocence" It is No. 32 in my series called "Out of Your Mind". When you become the owner of this vivacious and brilliant painting you can hang it on your wall without a frame and show off the beautiful edges of the painting which are a continuation of the paintings face or if you like, provide a frame of your choosing to go with your own room's decor. Thank you for taking a look at this great painting! #vangoPULSE
My name is David L Friend. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. As far back as I can remember, I have always expressed myself artistically and the process of creating things graphically has always been important to me. I discovered the world of oil painting when I was 11 years old and have never lost my love for painting pictures. While I have loved and practiced drawing and painting almost all of my life, I spent much of my adult life working as an architectural drafter to pay the bills and support my family. That worked well …up until several years ago when I was laid off due to the economy and needed to shift gears and find something else to devote my energy to. Today, I'm a self taught artist living in Everett, Washington with my wife and family. I am empowered by a love of art and a desire to express my artistic vision using my business called 'Art and Imagination of David L Friend' as a tool to introduce and sell my artwork. I have a studio located in my home where I paint work that is commissioned as well as work on developing other painting projects that are of interest to me. My artistic viewpoint finds expression through the use of acrylic and oil paints with which I create unique abstract images on canvas and offer them to those who appreciate them. I welcome your interest in what I do and look for the opportunity for you to have something I have painted or to create a work of unique and special importance to you.
