Art has always been my lifeblood. My genesis began with writings on the walls of my hometown and neighboring areas. It quickly evolved into me wanting more. I began to transfer my spraypaint skills onto canvas and continued furthering my studies of what was possible with a spray can. Over the course of many experiments, I soon found a way to create the art that was in my head. Using hand cut stencils, I create images and paintings that are a resemblance to people, characters, aminals and scenes that not only excite me visually but have a special part of my life. My body of work is vast and I look to find collectors that find my visuals appealing to the interests I hope we share.
In his youth, Daniel was greatly inspired by the public works and street art he encountered while traveling in Europe with his family. So much so that when he returned home he started experimenting with spray paint on canvas. He studied fine art and graphic design in college, and later spent a semester in Paris, France, furthering his interest in and knowledge of art, design and the historical humanities of Europe. Over the years, through trial and error, he has developed new techniques and a unique style utilizing spray paint as his medium. His current works incorporate images of cultural icons, as well as wild and domestic animals. Each painting involves a series of hand cut stencils which he then builds up, layer by layer, with paint. There is a joyous element of surprise in each canvas as the final layer is applied and the piece is fully realized. Samples of his work can be found at lexiconcreative.net.
