I work in an exotic plant shop, so this piece was greatly inspired by the different types of plants I take care of daily. It is most significantly influenced by the strange variety of air plants in which the shop specializes
Dan Huston is an abstract artist from Ramsey, New Jersey. In 2014, he graduated from Bates College with a degree in Studio Art and Environmental Studies. He studied Japanese art history and traditional ink painting at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata, Japan in the fall of 2012. Dan's art is a reflection of his own impulsive movements as well as his interest in the beauty of excess. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
