This piece is inspired by the long lasting spring season here in Portland. I have recently become interested in the organic patterns I see in blooming flowers. This is not based off a single flower, but instead is my own visualization of the blooming shape I see on a daily basis.

Dan Huston is an abstract artist from Ramsey, New Jersey. In 2014, he graduated from Bates College with a degree in Studio Art and Environmental Studies. He studied Japanese art history and traditional ink painting at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata, Japan in the fall of 2012. Dan's art is a reflection of his own impulsive movements as well as his interest in the beauty of excess. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
