I bought myself some flowers to cheer me up while my husband was in Mexico, and took advantage of the opportunity to paint them. I enjoyed the bright colors on my table. I know that in most of the country spring still seems very far away, but March is coming up soon, and Easter along with it, and I have been thinking of Easter, resurrection, rebirth and renewal, and how flowers are a beautiful reminder that even the roughest winter will end with springtime. 2015
Sharing art is one of the best means of having closer contact with the Almighty Creator. I think God must have a great sense of humor; most people see only the serious side of Bible reading, but there really is a lot of cheer, encouragement and humor in it if you think about it. I'd like it if you would use my artwork as a starting point for conversations about encouragement and cheerfulness. I live in Northern California with my husband and three grown children, and our pets, of course. My works are primarily oil paintings, either using brushes, painting knives, rags, my fingers, and anything else I can find to make an interesting color or texture. I also enjoy creating elaborate sculptures from found and recycled materials. Anything to get my hands dirty! My love of nature, color and whimsy are apparent in my artwork.
