Curtis Ashby is a young artist based in Seattle, WA. Since early 2006, he has steadily made a name for himself in the Seattle art scene while studying under artist and gallery owner John Osgood. He has secured spots in several prominent group shows and has also received a "Distinguished Seller" acknowledgment in Houston, TX during the Neopopstreetfunk 5 show highlighted in Juxtapoz Art and Culture Magazine in December of 2013. Curtis opened an art studio of his own in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle in 2013 called PDC Print & Paint, showcasing his group's current creations. With the recent loss of his brother, Curtis' latest work reflects his growing intrigue with the unknown and his interest in childhood memories such as mid-century book illustrations and influence from artists and illustrators such as John James Audubon, Anthony Lister and Ed Templeton. His paintings express the gritty spontaneous feel of city life with reference to his graffiti-like texture with a touch
