I really just wanted to draw a garlic clove- they have so many beautiful colors on the inside and thin layers of skin- it made it so much fun to layer colors for the piece! One of my few square creations. Prismacolor color pencil on Acid free brown board. Custom framed to 10"x10" square, solid wood frame, all acid free boards and backer, non-glare acrylic and ready to hang. I picture this small piece fitting super nicely into a kitchen or pantry!

I started creating art when I was young, and haven't stopped since! I've been an active drawing artist from the age of 17 on, fulfilling commissions in business logos previously and moving into portraits, still life and most recently children's book illustration. I received my BFA from Wittenberg University and currently spend time freelancing and flying around on airplanes. I take immense joy in working on commission pieces for individuals and businesses! I love working with my clients to create their perfect piece and include them each step of the way (current projects are a children's book, a portrait and 2 architectural drawings for different clients). I currently continue to do freelance work for clients and participate in juried art festivals, while keeping a happy household with a rambunctious little 6 year old to give me a hand.
