"For me, painting is a way to express thoughts, feelings, ideas and emotions. Sometimes I use it as a way to highlight a particular person or event in history. It can challenge, frustrate and empower all at the same time. In finding subject matter, it sometimes starts with an idea or an emotion that I feel I can not express with words. I attempt to have the painting express that idea or emotion via the composition, color or technique. I look for "internal energy" within the subject and try and find a way to express it visually."
I have sold paintings in London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, New Jersey, Virginia, St. Louis, The U.S. Virgin Islands, Texas, Kansas and my home state of Oklahoma. I have over 20 paintings in online curated galleries. I have always loved to create. I enjoy the process from idea to the final product. I love being able to create in different styles. Sometimes I want to work in oil and impressionism and other times acrylic and something more contemporary.
