Simonetta Vespucci considered the most beautiful woman of the Italian Renaissance. Her beauty, coupled with her sweet disposition, turned her into a celebrity. She was Botticelli's muse. When he died, in 1510, he was buried at her feet as he had requested. This portrait is # 8 in my ongoing series. Hang them in pairs or all together for your own contemporary display of classic portraits.
I am a printmaker working in a variety of printmaking techniques. Wood block, screen printing, mono- types and dry point. Works on paper are my medium.
