This one took some time to complete because I kept doing smaller projects and because the fading in of the black to light was very time consuming. I did a lot of searching for different weeds and grasses to put into the foreground of the illustration. There's a story here for me different than the others I'd done. For some reason while working on this, I kept thinking of what it would be like, if the world had its apocalypse and I was alone with my baby daughter and we found ourselves in this solitary house. How would I go about making it livable? What would I need to fix first? How would I go forage and hunt for food with a 1 year old. A story began to unfold in my mind. So this one has deep significance and importance for me. Hope you enjoy.
