One last patch of golden light on a rising slope while the rest of the landscape is settling into late afternoon shadows. I used oil paint and a special paper made just for oil painting. Signed and titled on the back.
the painting isn't painted all the way to the edges. The paper measures 9x12 inches and the painted image measures 8.75x10.5 inches. The edge will be helpful if the buyer wants to mat the piece when framing.
I am a painter. I have loved painting all my life. I studied Art and Art History at UC Berkeley, and have been painting professionally ever since. I have shown in galleries and museums all over California, and have sold hundreds of paintings all over the world, from New York, to Finland and Qatar. I am inspired by nature, color and emotion. Hopefully you will get a sense of calm, happiness, or wonder from what I paint. I'm not out to make political statements with my work, but to express joy and gratitude of life through the medium of oil paints. Claire Whitehead
