I love to experiment with different styles, inspirations, and techniques. My work varies from delicate line work, loose graphic forms, gestural expressions of color, and richly layered color through texture. I enjoy pushing my own limits to see what I can do.

Ancient textile designs, 1970's art, and classic painters are included in my current mix of inspirations.

Growing up in a small North Carolina town, I spent my childhood exploring and studying nature. I was particularly facinated with pattern, color, and texture and I would draw for hours before bedtime. My talents were noticed and I was encouraged to start painting. Much to my surprise, my very first painting won a state competition and went to nationals in NYC and gave me the confidence to persue Art & Design in college. The relationship between color, pattern, and texture became the foundation for my career as a textile designer and eventually leading several notable creative teams within the world of decorative fabrics. My work has taken me all over the world sourcing and developing design and textiles and this travel has revitalized my desire to paint and draw again! I continue to try different techniques, mediums, and subject matter to push my hand and challenge my creativity outside of the office.
