September Cove is a painting that emerge from my subconscious. I realize that's Tullytown Cove on Delaware River in Pennsylvania. This painting was a flashback memory of my boating days.
Christina was born in Philadelphia, PA. Her first artwork was created when she was a young girl, painting and drawing what she loved, horses. In her teen years, she moved on to a new love, Elvis. She painted the walls of her basement with murals of the King, as a tribute to his hit songs and memorable concerts. She continued to pursue her love for painting, receiving a Fine Art Degree from CCP where she studied under artist Bob Paige. After college, she became a paste-up artist for Earl P. L. Apfelbaum, Inc., where she was responsible for producing their bi-weekly sales catalog including: choosing featured stamps, arranging them, and working with the printer to publish them. Interested in the color and style of watercolor painting, she taught herself how to work with this medium. In the 80’s, she married and moved to beautiful Bucks County, PA, where she raised her two lovely children. As time allowed, she continued painting. After dedicating her life to her family and raising her children, and painting whenever possible, she finally has the time to dedicate to her artwork. Christina has always loved the water. After over 20 years of owning various boats, Christina and her husband of 33 years (Jeff) were looking for an alternative. They both knew it had to be somewhere close to the water. They found their paradise in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and purchased a condo there. Her home studio and vacation condo are filled with artwork inspired by her homes in Bucks County PA and Rehoboth Beach Delaware. Christina paints for herself, her family, and her love of art. She never wanted the “business-side of art” to influence what or how she painted. Her oil, acrylic, and watercolor artwork hangs on her family’s walls as far away as Regensburg, Germany. At the urging of her family, her paintings have appeared a few times in Bucks County galleries and art exhibits. She has finally agreed to share her artwork with the rest of the world. She is now a successful selling artist represented by: Vango Art, Fine Art America and Xanadu Gallery. You can also check out her artwork at her website CSchottand a time lapse video of her painting on YouTube.
