The tallest mammal on earth, baby giraffes learn quickly to manage maneuvering on their stilt-like legs. Within 2 hours of birth they are able to run with the rest of the family. These gentle giants are graceful and beautiful creatures to behold! I had the opportunity to feed one by hand and from then on I was hooked! Their noses are as soft as velvet. Couldn't wait to paint one!

I have been compelled to created art since I was old enough to hold a pencil. Art is woven into the very fabric of who I am, and I cannot imagine my life without it. I see endless beauty in the world and have an insatiable desire to capture the essence of my subjects through the instruments of my craft. Though I've been painting my entire life, I decided to peruse my art full time over 16 years ago and have never looked back. I feel honored and blessed to be able to make a living at what I love. The goal for my art is to capture a beautiful moment in time in a way that evokes emotion though color, light and composition. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
