The landscape in this area is glorious and full of historical spots and architecture. I love capturing it on site and finding undiscovered back roads. I love oils and will never go back to other media. I feel it is like sculpting with paint and the textures that are possible beat other media.

Born and raised in Los Angeles. Always wanted to be an artist and won my first award in the 7th grade for making a March of Dimes poster. Created watercolors for 25 years. Moved to Santa Rosa, CA, in 1989, and changed media after a couple of years here. I now paint mostly oil paintings outside (en plein air) and love it. When I first moved to this area I started a watercolor society, WASCO. Also opened a gallery in downtown.
