My artwork is combination of action painting as well as an infusion of other fundimental techniques and adhered priciples that were innovated by the French Master Georges Mathieu who pioneered the Lyrical Abtractism movement,in combination with my particular theories applied that deal with movement of color, gestural compositions. Also enjoy integrating Stippling within certain pieces as well to art to the effect of pieces.
The end product produces and almost 3 dimensional vivid and detailed sort of custom experimental pieces with all kinds of intricacies individual to each piece.
Each one telling their own story in their own color language.
My name is Christopher Alexander VazQuez. I am 32 years old hailing from Yuma,Arizona. And I am a Muti-Disciplinary Experimental Mixed Media Artist. That means that I use a variety of different mediums to create the pieces that I produce. Meaning there's a lot of uncharted territory as far as rules are concerned...which is why I find this particular style of art so exciting. I make my own rules as I go..The technique I have created is called Abstract Gestural Actionism.(A.G.A) I created this style as an homage and my modern interpretation of my 2 biggest influences. Paul Jackson Pollock ,the American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. Who was well known for his unique style of drip painting. And also Georges Mathieu, French abstract painter, art theorist and member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Who is considered one of the fathers of European lyrical abstraction. Both of these individuals have both had an impact artistically and philosophically. It was in 2014 that I discovered the method in creating my artwork in I refer to as Abstract Gestural Actionism. Since that time all of my 700 plus pieces in my catalog have been created solely using this technique without the use of brushes as well..
