Rocks are always fun to paint, especially when some of them are under water. I went to college near the Texas hill country and it's one of my favorite places to visit, so naturally I paint a lot of rocky landscapes. The water is crystal clear in the Frio River so I wanted to create a piece that focused on the different formations above and below the water.
My roots are in Grapevine, Texas. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, in 2002. My work has been displayed in galleries and venues from Texas to Utah. I am a high school art teacher in the Houston area. I love my job as a teacher and have taught at the same school since I started teaching 15 years ago!
