I was inspired by the Dance of Death genre from the late-medieval period for this piece. I wanted to use theme of macabre in order shock the viewer and take them to this artificial moment that can be seen as if it is really taking place right before them. I first took a photo of my model then used the photo as reference to create the drawing.
