This is a watercolor painting of a lonely tree in the Badlands National Park. All of the colors in the landscape of the Badlands were so striking to me. This painting was an attempt to capture as many of them as I could.
After graduating from the Pratt Institute with a degree in Art Education and painting, I’ve been living in Redding Connecticut and working as a painter and printmaker and sculptor . I have also been an art educator for the past 12 years. I teach art to grades three through five in the public schools. When I am not teaching or making art I am traveling with my family, hiking and camping around the national parks in the U.S. or abroad. I have always loved travel, the outdoors and landscapes.
