The thing that I like most about this piece is that I absolutely hated it at first. I sat on my living room floor with this giant paper in front of me, with no direction or clue what I wanted to do. I just knew I wanted to paint. I eventually started with alcohol ink but everything I did, I despised. I finally decided to call it quits and walk away from it and start something else. A few days later and some paint added here and there, I eye started to change and I realized I actually loved how it turned out. I'm in the middle of finals and without realizing it, I used this piece as my outlet. When I needed inspiration for my final exam project I would paint a little bit to clear my mind and then go back to the project. Well, it turns out that a few days of doing that created an unintentional piece that I love.
This is created on 21x26 yupo paper with alcohol ink and acrylic paint.
When I create, I find my mind at ease. There's no stress, no trying to figure out who I am, and no pressure. I enjoy watching myself grow as an artist with each piece that I create. Painting has become my journal, It allows me to express how I feel without having to figure out the right words.
