This image is part of my current work and is a fine art, self portrait and landscape series about reassessing my past and actualizing my future. I am visualizing
the dark matter and negative aspects of my self. This is illustrated through a visual representation of the my personal transformation. I am trying to find a new direction for my life. Photo Collage is the technique I am using to express my affecting perception. My background images, printed on 12” x 18” water color paper, are of the landscapes of Delaware processed with a combination of Van Dyke Brown and Cyanotype. Cyanotype represents my future hopes and dreams, while
Van Dyke Brown is my visual pragmatism and reality. I complete the image by applying an inkjet transfer self portrait.

My name is Bronwen Hazlett. I am a Vango artist. I have my BFA in photography and am currently earning my Masters in Photography so that I may teach in college. Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
