I grew up in Boston, and spent my summers at my grandfather's house on Cape Cod or on my dad's boat on the Cape and Nantucket. I'm a child of the 60's, and love the aesthetic and iconic images of that era. I tend to paint images I remember from my youth, which sometimes give my paintings a nostalgic feel, while also being modern. Above all else, though, I want people to feel happy when they see one of my paintings.
I was born and raised in Boston. I moved to Chicago after college, and worked at Leo Burnett, one of the largest ad agencies in the world. I left Burnett to get an MBA at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. After getting my MBA, I moved to NYC and became the Director of Retail Marketing and Advertising for Polo Ralph Lauren. I loved Polo and NYC, but was eager to explore a different creative outlet, so I moved to Nashville to write country music. I had a bunch of songs recorded, but I realized that my creative interest was in the visual arts, so I stopped writing to focus on painting. My art is now sold in galleries around the country, has been seen decorating the sets of many tv shows -- including Nashville! -- and has been reprinted on items such as wrapping paper, wallpaper, greeting cards, etc. I’ve also created LaLa Land by Brian Nash, a line of American-made pajamas and other apparel. LaLa Land combines my interest in fashion and painting. Thank you. Brian
