What this fish lacks in size, it makes up for in color and contrast!
The Ala'ihi" are fish only found in Hawaii. This fish has a long history with Hawaiian royalty.
The size of this piece makes it easy to fit into any room of your house. Bring some Aloha into your house!

I have lived in Maui, Hawaii for over 22 years and love everything about this tropical paradise, especially the ocean. Being an avid surfer, scuba diver, spear fisherman, and angler for most of my life has given me a unique perspective regarding marine life which carries over into my art work. When I was introduced to Gyotaku about 10 years ago at a local gallery, it instantly became my passion. Although Gyotaku has been around for hundreds of years, it is not widely known. In fish printing, I use a dead fish to create an "impression" on rice paper that I get from Japan. After the initial impression, I then blend all the colors to create a life-like work of art..... turning fish into art! Since I use real fish to create my pieces, it is important that I use water based acrylic paint because every fish I print is either eaten or sold to local restaurants, nothing is wasted. Spread some Aloha and put one of my unique fish prints in your home or office! Mahalo, Brian
