"Improvisation 11" is a visual improvisation, created in a stream of conscious manner, a visual jazz, unconcerned with representation or with its final appearance. Each brush stroke was made with regard only to other paint marks in the immediate area and the rectangular plane of the canvas, like a musician improvises a solo over the drums and bass.
This 20" x 16" canvas is signed by the artist on the reverse and painted completely around the edges, allowing you to hang it as is, gallery style, or to frame it. Each painting by Brandon Cooper is a unique original composition, painted on primed cotton canvas and set on traditional wooden stretcher bars. Paintings will ship carefully wrapped in reinforced cardboard boxes. Thank you for viewing! Brandon Cooper (b. 1987) Born into an artistic and musical family, I began my career as a musician, studying at New York University and Rowan University. While at school I took up painting as a hobby, practicing during free time in my dorm (and driving my roommate crazy). My hobby grew until, once finished school, I took up painting full time. Being a trained musician, my paintings have a musical quality, full of vibrant color and thick texture, with lines and bold brushwork singing little melodies across the canvas.
