This is one of my pieces from a three part series, a combination of anthropomorphic animals and Mexican culture. I used the Mexican salamander as the basis for my figure and I wanted to go into a western theme. Interestingly, this is one of the few art pieces that was actually entered in a local gallery and was viewed by the public. "Bandito's Night" is also my art professor's personal favorite.
I have always had a passion in arts for as long as I could remember. However, I never actually was professionally taught in the craft until I entered Oxnard College. From there, my skills only grew from there. I have participated in local art galleries and worked on a couple backdrops for Oxnard's performing art center. I am currently near completion of associates in arts and debating whether to go into animation or become an art teacher.
