I am part Blackfoot Indian "Siksika" and love the ancient arts. I have studied their works and decided to create an abstract version of their women. Done on 1 inch thick stretch canvas. Signed and Dated.
I live and work as a full time, self-taught artist in Atlanta, taking my inspiration from the beauty of the city, the colors and textures around me, and also through music. Although I have painted in a variety of styles, I find abstraction to be the most satisfying. My paintings represent my day to day feelings, views of society, specials places, and people. I never begin a painting with a preconceived idea, but rather paint and let the painting develop its own. I work with acrylics primarily, building colors and textures on each canvas. This allows the viewer to explore each piece with not only their eyes but fingers also. I have always been involved in art in one manner or another. At this point in my life, I am completely dedicated to my art. I believe this is what I am meant to do.
