"over flow" is a 9" x 12" painting depicting the scene of intense inspiration. The thoughtful figure is experiencing overflowing ideas and a drive to create.

I usually feel most inspired in the wee hours of the morning and this painting is in homage to that experience. Big bright swirls and color shapes symbolize the moment of inspiration. Intricate color shapes make up the facial features and vivid colored and checker-patterned swoops radiate into the background against a disjointed grid filled in with colors reminiscent of the night sky. The entire composition is outlined in semi-gloss black.

The overall effect of the painting is meant to be that of a flowing, calm energy, likened to the onset of artistic creativity.

This unique painting on canvas is sure to be a focal point. It is fun, vibrant, and contemporary. The original image is painted in acrylic with tight detail and care on a quality gallery wrapped canvas with 3/4" stretcher bars. The background pattern continues over the edges of the painting so there is no need for framing. It includes a hang-wire and is ready to hang with or without framing.
