Ready to Hang

painted on a repurposed piece of wood that served its purpose in a house for 60 years and was being thrown away, we didnt used to be a throw away society, the wood was still in great condition and has been given a second life, this possibly portrays my mind when out in public, feel " out there " sometimes watching everyone scurry around like a ant colony, im part of the herd, i know but i dont want to be , its cut slightly asymetrical which to me gives it character

thank you for looking

i paint whenever i find any type of free canvas to paint , such as wood or plywood , its really sturdy and actually feels like something when you hold it , alot of times i paint several layers before the top coat because i want it to look like a piece of wall that was painted over for decades , thats what gives it charactet to me, i am color blind so how i see my work will look different for you , i paint how i feel at that particular momment in time, sometimes looking at the work days later will invoke the same feelings, "hanging around, nothing to do but frown, rainy days and mondays always get me down" / the carpenters thank you for looking
