This painting expresses an analogy of the word 'play' portraying Michael Jackson as a child who perhaps didn't really have the chance to play as a normal kid but he would make music for everyone to play and enjoy.
Betirri was born in 1982 in Puebla, Mexico. In 1997, he moved with his mother and his two siblings to Houston, TX where they still currently reside. In Houston, Betirri continued his lifelong interest in art and architecture and obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Architecture from the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and his Bachelors of Fine Arts at the University of Houston. He also studied abroad in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy where he had the opportunity to experience and embrace the grandeur of some of the world’s greatest artists and their culture.
