"Extinction Warning" is a 9x12 illustration using pen and ink, watercolor and acrylic paint. The inspiration came to me as I was browsing the internet looking up the health benefits of bananas. While browsing I came across an article stating this potassium loaded food has the potential to go extinct. That made me sad and also reminded me to enjoy them for as long as they last...because everything in this world and life can be temporary.

Benj Curtis is a fine artist and illustrator specializing in expressionistic colorful pieces of art. The art he creates can range in style, subject matter, or medium. The thread that continues to run through his work, is a bold expression of color and line within each piece he creates. "I don't paint the same thing over and over, because there is so much in life to capture. There are so many moments to express, and for me painting is a visual expression, a journal of what is felt in that moment of time." He has worked the last four years creating custom work for individuals. He believes that every space should have a story, and artwork is the characters that bring that story to life. If you enjoy his style, reach out and he can create a custom beauty for your home. "The world is full of beauty... sometimes you just have to adjust your eyesight."
