This piece is based on T.S. Elliot's poem "The Waste Land", particularly the line, "When will I be like the swallow, so that I can stop being silent?"

I'm a working artist with a studio in the great Midwest, with a room full of paints, pastels, pencils, paper, canvas, and the list goes on. I also have a studio cat. His name is Jack. I proudly hail from a big family of talented artists and designers, so I guess it's in my blood. It's my life, pretty much.
