I love the translucent properties of the watercolor, and the challenge of “saving your whites.” I especially enjoy painting florals that dance with light, inspired by my love of gardening and of roses in particular. This orchid painting was from a photo I took at the San Francisco Garden Show. I love how the colors glow.
