"Darlene's Begonias" are a tribute to my neighbor, who grew these as well as numerous other begonias and roses. I managed to capture the bug while photographing the flowers and couldn't resist painting it in. I love the challenge of saving my whites while painting with watercolor, and love to use transparent paints so the colors glow.
