Ready to Hang

"Tranquil Coast" is one of several minimal coastal paintings combining water and landscape that I've created in soft, muted colors. It is ideal for anywhere in the home where you want to create a peaceful, soothing environment for rest and relaxation. It's also ideal for a coastal decorating style or beach cottage style.

This is an original acrylic painting on canvas. The sides are painted to match the image. Comes wired and ready to hang as is, or would look very nice in a white or wood-stained frame if you prefer.

Barbara Blair has had a love affair with the sea since childhood and has worked in creative fields all her life. In between her creative pursuits, she spent a year living on sailboats and sailing a third of the way around the world, visiting many places. Professionally, Barbara has over 30 years of art and design experience, with an on-going interest in wellness and providing a healing quality to her work. She practiced residential interior design for more than 20 years, later becoming a decorative artist creating custom designs and painted finishes on the walls of numerous homes. No longer desiring to be on ladders and scaffolding, Barbara transferred her artistic skills to creating fine art on canvas with acrylic paints. Originally from Surrey, England Barbara emigrated to the United States with her family as a teenager. She resides in Oceanside, CA in north San Diego County, and has lived on the coast in California for more than thirty years.
