The Fabric of Reality literally is worn like a cloak hiding itself from itself. This painting draws comparisons and juxtaposes layers of reality in a portrait of a man-- to symbolize the Yang of explosive creative energy. This larger than life painting is captivating and powerful in its presence.
Humanity fascinates me and is often the subject for my art. The power of connectedness is a thread that I've been exploring most of my artistic career. So like a scientist, I'll try and approach it from every direction. This inspires many themes of mythology, spirituality and religion to arise in my artwork, as well as the absence of connection and the solitude that ensues. I love both the good and the bad, dark and the light, yin and the yang.
Rose Ayala is a California native born at the base of the Sierra Nevadas in Nevada City. She attended SAIC and received an AA from Ananda College of Living Wisdom with an emphasis in Inspirational Arts. Her 'real' art education has come from her travels in daily life throughout it all; from WWOOFing in Ireland, to living in a spiritual community in northern Oregon, and all the multitude of trips in between. She gains much of her inspiration from art/music festivals, nature, and introspection. Rose loves the interaction that art can provide within a community and will jump at any opportunity to be a face painter for children's events. Most of her art is created in her secluded studio in a California State Park, where she currently lives with her ranger sister.
