I have recently started a series inspired by the 1920s Flapper Girls. They were glamorous and dramatic. l really enjoy exploring that Era. I am also delving into a new medium combination for me, watercolor on canvas. I like the look I get.
Susan Kemp Maldonado is a Vango artist. Art has always been a large part of her life since childhood, having a lot of influence from her Mother and Grandmother, also creative in their own right. She is a Self-Taught Portrait Artist, but earned an Associate of Arts in Visual Arts in 2006, a little late, but nonetheless earned. Originally from New Jersey, she was replanted in California in 2001. She married a native Californian, Daniel, in 2002. Again relocated to Nevada, in the city of Las Vegas, September 2013. She has been showing her artwork at a local art gallery. She has recently been awarded an Honorable Mention in Sculpture in an International Juried Competition. She has three Daughters, and TEN Grandchildren. She is a Breast Cancer Survivor. Cancerversary 4/29/2009.
