I love that space makes us feel small and insignificant, that's why I paint it- to gain perspective. This is a painting of both the birth and death of stars. On the left you see clouds of dust that will come together over hundreds of millions of years to create a galaxy of stars (signifying birth and creation). In the middle is a buzzing galaxy of stars clustered around each other (signifying energy, community, and vibrancy). Some are becoming supernova (or dying stars) and others are nascent. On the right is space and emptiness with some distant stars signifying self-reflection and wisdom. I hope having this in your home causes you to stop from your busy day to reflect and think about what is really important to you.

My name is Ashley Pelzel. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
